Our Honey is natural, local to North Texas, and strained by hand. Our Bee's forage on our farm, largely from native or adapted plants and wildflowers grown by Papa's Plants.

We grow a wide selection of Nursery plants at Papa's Plants but specialize in Native and adapted plants. We always have an excellent variety of Cactus, Agave, and Aloe. Prices vary, depending upon the type and size of the plant but you'll find our selection to be reasonably priced and our plants to be high quality. Strolling Chickens is comprised of award winning top of the line chickens, raised by BSH Farms in a free ranging environment. Tolbunts, Silkies, and our Brahma's can be purchased directly from BSH Farms as adult birds, or you may order our eggs for hatching based upon availability.

Tolbunt Polish:  originally imported from Germany in the late 1900's.

Silkies:  The partridge silkie is one of the newer varieties to be accepted into the American Poultry Association. 

Brahma's:  The light brahma is one of my favorites personally. They have a great personality and are very big.

    The Tolbunt Polish is a light, soft feathered pure breed, they are a Polish chicken but the color pattern is Tolbunt hence the name. They are recognized by their large crests and beautiful tolbunt patterning. This is a pattern of brown, black and white. They are a calm docile bird ideal for confinement or urban situations.     One of the oldest known breeds:

    They are one of, if not the oldest known domesticated breed of chicken. Silkies have been known about for many hundreds of years and we could assume they have a history of at least 1000 years. During his 13th-century travels in Asia, Marco Polo documented some amazing sights.   For chicken keepers one in particular stands out: furry chickens with black skin.
